💜 A breast cancer resource I wish I’d found sooner

Hi ,

There are so many organizations offering information and support after a breast cancer diagnosis, and sometimes it can be hard to know which ones are actually worth your time.

I wanted to share one with you that I think is worth knowing about: Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC).

A resource I wish I’d found sooner

I didn’t discover LBBC until a few years after my own diagnosis—and I wish I had found it earlier.

There are so many aspects of breast cancer that go beyond the medical treatment itself. Questions about side effects, recovery, survivorship, relationships, nutrition, emotional well-being, and what comes next can continue long after your appointments and treatments are finished.

LBBC has a lot of great info on these topics, including webinars, expert interviews, and practical guidance. I especially enjoy the stories and experiences shared by other women who’ve been through breast cancer, as well as the virtual seminars.

And there’s an upcoming Summit

On October 3rd, LBBC is hosting its annual Summit virtually.

The livestream registration fee is $25. Free tickets are available, with no application required, for those who need it.

Even if you don’t attend the Summit, LBBC is an organization I’ve found genuinely helpful, and I wanted to put it on your radar.

I’ve come a long way, but honestly, it’s still a work in progress. I’ve embraced some of the mindset shifts that came with cancer—doing less without guilt and...

Hi Reader, When we think about breast cancer rehab, we often think about those first few weeks or months after surgery. Getting your shoulder moving again. Working on your range of motion. Addressing tightness. Slowly getting back to exercise. But rehab isn’t just something your body needs immediately after surgery. Our bodies need ongoing maintenance. Hi Reader, I could have picked dozens of exercises for breast cancer recovery, but these are the five I continue to come back to years after my own treatment—and the same ones I recommend most often to my patients.
